Chelsea -1

Chelsea have come a long way since losing their group opener in Zagreb at the start of September.

The Blues have taken ten points from their last four games to secure top spot in Group E, giving Graham Potter the chance to rest some players ahead of a big game against Arsenal this weekend.

However, after Saturday’s 4-1 drubbing of Brighton, Chelsea could manage with a morale-boosting win on Wednesday night, although there is nothing to affect the result.

Dinamo Zagreb, on the other hand, have been basking in their shock win against Chelsea.

The Croatian side have picked up a solitary point in their last four games and lost their two away matches in the competition so far.

Dinamo Zagreb also lost in the Croatian league for the first time this weekend, going down to a 1-0 loss against Osijek.

A wounded and weakened Chelsea side should have no problem finishing the group stage with a comfortable victory.

Armando Broja scores at any time

Armando Broja has been restricted to substitutes since returning to Chelsea from a loan spell at Southampton last season.

The Albanian forward has made just one start in all competitions this season, coming off the bench on 12 separate occasions.

He has scored once so far this season, sealing a comfortable 3-0 win over Wolves last month.

Broja scored nine goals in 38 games for Southampton last season but is unlikely to match those figures unless he starts regularly for Chelsea.

It’s also unlikely, but he should start on Wednesday night and could score against a Dinamo Zagreb side that fell apart against AC Milan last time out.

Man City -2

Sevilla simply have bigger fish to fry than a dead rubber against Manchester City.

The Spanish side are shockingly in the relegation zone in La Liga after 12 games and will no doubt rest players ahead of their upcoming derby against high-flying Real Betis this weekend.

Sevilla have at least shown some improvement in the Champions League since their opening 4-0 defeat at home to City, picking up four points from their last two games, including an impressive draw at Dortmund.

Their 3-0 win over Copenhagen last time out sealed their place in the Europa League and they can now be hammered into submission by a ruthless City machine in peace.

With all places taken, there is nothing to play for in Group G on the final night of the group stage.

City are also likely to rest players on Wednesday, but they should still have enough to blow away Sevilla again.

Both teams score? No

With just one goal conceded in five games, City have the best defensive record in the Champions League this season ahead of Bayern Munich, who have conceded two goals in the competition.

Only Borussia Dortmund and the irrepressible Jude Bellingham have managed to breach the City defense in Europe this season and this Sevilla side is unlikely to be the second.

Sevilla have scored just 11 goals in 12 league games this season and have drawn five matches in all competitions.

Given that they are likely to be even weaker than usual, that should rise to six games on Wednesday night.

Julian Alvarez scores anytime

Julian Alvarez’s first season in a Manchester City shirt has been limited by Erling Haaland’s goalscoring brilliance.

It simply hasn’t been possible for the Argentine to sustain any significant run in the City team when Haaland has scored the way he has.

However, he is likely to start on Wednesday, given Haaland’s latest injury and the fact that this game means nothing.

Alvarez has already scored four goals for City, including one in the Champions League, and should get plenty of chances in a game City are likely to dominate from start to finish.
