Molly Rainford says being on Strictly has brought out her “sexy” side

Molly Rainford has claimed that her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing has helped bring out her “sexy” side.

The CBBC star, 21, revealed she has become a dance floor diva after performing sensual routines with her pro partner Carlos Gu, 28, like last week’s Rumba.

She told The Sun: “Strictly definitely brings out a different side of me, but it was hard not to feel awkward about being so sensual and feminine.”

“I hope you didn’t expect me to be the baby forever!” Molly Rainford has claimed her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing has helped bring out her ‘sexy’ side

“Obviously it was important that this dance was more than a sexy rumba – we also wanted to show this romantic story and the passionate side of us.

“But it was great to show the grown-up side of me and not just be the pageant’s kid. What you see is what you get now – I hope you didn’t expect me to be the kid forever.’

It comes after Molly revealed that Carlos has banned her from dating during the show.

She explained how he told her she “can’t skip any rehearsals to go on dates” and that she doesn’t “have time for romance”.

It comes after reports that she had grown close to both Nikita Kuzmin and Tyler West during her time on the show so far.

She told The Mirror: ‘Carlos told me ‘You can’t skip any rehearsals to go on dates’.

So I have no time for romance. Tyler is a wonderful boy. We all get along really well. But we just practice and work hard.

Earlier this week, Molly brushed off rumors of a behind-the-scenes romance after being linked to two different stars of the BBC show.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline with her dance partner Carlos, the CBBC star said this year’s lineup due to backstage passion has been “very boring”, following reports she had grown close to Nikita and Tyler.

Molly, who will be dancing the rumba this weekend, also hinted that their take on the typically romantic dance will be “more emotional than sexy”, celebrating relationships with loved ones.

When asked about the infamous Strictly curse, Molly told MailOnline: ‘It’s so funny because everyone gets asked’oh what’s the gossip? Who doesn’t come up” and I can honestly say that’s all they say about the Strictly family, we all get on really well.

“I have a dressing roommate, which is Fleur, she’s become like a big sister. I think because she’s done the bottom two a couple of times, we have each other to talk to and move on together, which is nice.

‘I just think it’s so random, I love how people try to find it when it’s not happening, it’s quite funny, I think maybe because we get on so well they mistake it for something else but it really is that everyone is really good friends.’

When grilled about a backstage romance, the former Britain’s Got Talent star added: “No! We’re a very boring show in that respect!’

It comes after Molly was rumored to be dating Strictly pro Nikita after the pair were spotted in a cozy display at the National Television Awards.

Last month it was also reported that the singer had grown close to Tyler, with sources claiming the pair “put on a flirty display backstage.”

After avoiding elimination in the dance-off last week, Molly and Carlos will take to the floor on Saturday with a rumba to All The Man That I Need by Whitney Houston.

Discussing how training has been going for the show, she said: “Training is going well, it’s definitely harder than I thought rhumba would be, I think because it’s slow it’s a bit sneaky.”

While the rumba has previously been titled The Dance Of Love, both Molly and Carlos explained that their routine will be an ode to emotional relationships rather than full-on passion.

“It’s kind of funny, but obviously Carlo has been trying to explain to me with dance that you have to think, you’re the character that it’s not about Molly and Carlos, so I’m really trying to use my acting experience to get over that initial the awkwardness, she said.

“We kind of took this from an angle, it doesn’t have to be about a relationship in that sense, it’s about your relationship with your mom, your dad, your parent, your sibling, whoever means a lot to you, a best friend, so we try to take it from that angle.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.55pm on BBC One and iPlayer. Nova Jones is available on BBC iPlayer and airs Saturdays at 9.05am on BBC Two.
